About us;

Haruka Furuyama Design & Craft

Haruka Furuyama Design & Craft is founded in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2012. The company offer products and services that combine design with craft. Assignments include furniture, interior and product design, fine wood craft and more, spanning from order made items to items made for factory production.

The character of works comes from fusing values from both Japanese and Swedish culture, with respect for craftsmanship, function and form resulting in a modern, durable and sustainable design.

Charlotte Arvidsson

Charlotte Arvidsson has studied in England and Italy as well as Sweden and has now set up shop in picturesque Marstrand, an island outside of Gothenburg, Sweden. Her work is mainly focused on wood and function but with a wink towards the playful.

YÅIN (Masayoshi Oya, Kazuaki Hibino)

YÅIN is a design unit which is based in Japan and Sweden. Core members of the group are Kazuaki Hibino and Masayoshi Oya. The two designers started to work together on various projects after graduating from the School of Design and Crafts (HDK) at the University of Gothenburg.

YÅIN is a Japanese word “余韻” which corresponds approximately to afterglow in English. And referring to the design unit’s objects it means that design should not be outstanding in any environment, but hook to your mind naturally instead. Thus the more you use the designed objects, the more you feel their emotional value.
The designers believe that this way of thinking is a common sense between Japan and Sweden.

It unites their experiences in the two different cultures and gives their artwork an unique character.

Design Stories (Sara Danielsson, Kerstin Sylwan and Jenny Stefansdotter)

Design Stories is a studio based in Gothenburg Sweden. It consist of architect Sara Danielsson, product designer Kerstin Sylwan and textile designer Jenny Stefansdotter. We use design as a tool for visualising and enabling change!
